Elizabeth E. "Betty" Groman, 89, of Bethlehem Twp., passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at Country Meadows.  She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Groman who died November 25, 2016.   Born September 24, 1928, in Saylorsburg, she was a daughter of the late James and Lizzie Bonser Karch.

Betty graduated from Nazareth High School in 1945, and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.  She was employed as a designer in the art department at Dixie Cup, retiring from the James River plant after 43 years.  Betty was a volunteer at Gracedale and Meals on Wheels for over 18 years.  She was a member of First Moravian Church of Easton where she was a sacristan, baked and volunteered.

Betty is survived by a sister, Pauline Florey of Plainfield Twp.; and nieces & nephews.  She was predeceased by sisters, Emma Karch and Mildred Engler; and brothers, Arthur and George Karch.

A private graveside service will be held with the family at Northampton Memorial Shrine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the church, 225 N 10th St., Easton PA  18042. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.
