Elizabeth T. Swift, 100, of Nazareth, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 in Moravian Hall Square. Born October 26, 1917 in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late Walter L. and Grace Lewis Trumbauer. She was the loving wife of Alfred E. Swift, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage before his passing in 1995.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Liberty High School and Bethlehem Business College. She worked for the Community Chest Social Service Exchange. She was active in the original Woman's Club of Bethlehem, where she served as finance clerk, secretary and president. In addition to volunteering with the YWCA, where she held the position of treasurer for many years, she also served as a Girl Scout leader.

She was an active, lifetime member of the Cathedral Church of the Nativity. She served on the vestry, altar guild, quilters group, History committee and Fair chairwoman.

Elizabeth is survived by sons, Walter L. Swift and his wife Kathleen, and David A. Swift and his wife Dana; daughter Susan E. Karonias and her husband Ted; as well as 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by grandson, David A. Swift Jr.; and sister, Virginia Boyce.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 2 pm in Moravian Hall Square, 175 W. North St. Nazareth, PA. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 407 Belvidere St. Nazareth.

Memorials in Elizabeth's memory may be offered to the Good Samaritan Fund at Moravian Hall Square or St. Luke's Hospice 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Suite 200, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
