Elsie E. Myers' Obituary
Elsie E. Myers, 104, of Nazareth, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Moravian Hall Square. She was the wife of the late Glen Myers. Born November 10, 1913 in Altoona, she was a daughter of the late Emil and Etta Kephart Zimmerer.
Elsie was employed as a hostess for Junior's Restaurant in Miami Beach until retirement, when she then moved back to Altoona to be with her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hollidaysburg. Elsie loved flowers, trees, birds, animals, reading, and spending time with family. She always had a smile on her face.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Insel; grandchildren, Edward Insel and his wife Karen, James Insel and his wife Laurie, and Thomas Insel and his wife Kimberly; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and niece, Nancy Leahey. Elsie was predeceased by brothers, Alfred Zimmerer, Herman Zimmerer; and sisters, Martha Zimmerer, Etta Zimmerer Johnson, and Elizabeth in infancy.
Services will be held on Saturday April 7th at 2pm in Moravian Hall Square's Kortz Hall, 175 W. North St., Nazareth.
Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.
