Evelyn V. Werkheiser, age 97, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in HCR Manor Care, Palmer Township. BORN: She was born on August 1, 1917 in Nazareth, a daughter of the late Herbert and Eva Beichy Werkheiser. PERSONAL: Evelyn was a seamstress for over 48 years, working for various blouse mills in the area. She was last employed by Sparrows Blouse Mill in Edelman's for 14 years, retiring in 1984. MEMBERSHIPS: She was a member of Forks United Church of Christ in Stockertown, along with the Adult Bible Fellowship class in the church. She was also a member of the ILGWU. SERVICES: A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 23, at 1:00 pm in Fairview Cemetery, Cherryville Rd, Northampton. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.
