Obituary

Frances "Cookie" Lance, 82, Nazareth, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025, in St. Luke's Hospice House, Black River Rd., Bethlehem. She was the loving wife of Harry E. Lance with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.

Born 2 days before Christmas on December 23, 1942, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Pauline (Senivich) Wyjhoskie.

Earlier in life, and for many years, Frances worked in the banking industry. She began her career at the former Nazareth National Bank and remained a dedicated employee through the various transitions. At home Cookie was intent on making her house a warm and inviting environment, she was particular in her taste and had a keen eye for interior design and decoration. In her leisure time, Cookie was an avid reader and movie watcher, she loved dogs especially her grand-dogs, Niko and Ollie and certainly, QVC will miss her as a prize shopper!!!  Her strength and humor continued throughout her life and in the face of adversity up to her last days.

Frances was a member, of Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth.

In addition to her husband Harry, Frances is survived by daughter, Karen Wagner of Nazareth, and her husband Russell, who earned a special place in Frances' heart; a son, Michael (Lisa) Lance of Egypt, PA; and 3 grandchildren, Bria, Jenna, and Ashley.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by 1 brother, Henry Wyjhoskie, and a son-in- law, Douglas P. Hartman.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, August 13, from 10:00-11:00 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth where a Prayer Service will begin at 11 am. Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery Mausoleum.
