Frances H. Young, 91, of Easton, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at New Eastwood Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late George E. Young, who passed in January, 2000. Born on May 24, 1925, in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Nellie Bacus.

Fran graduated from Easton High School, and for over 30 years was a well known friendly face at Carlton's Restaurant on Main Street in Nazareth, where she worked as a waitress on the breakfast shift.

She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Tatamy, where she formerly was very active with the women's group.

Fran was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and is survived by her son, Jay Young and his wife Jennifer of Easton; her son-in-law, Delbert Cressman of Tatamy; 4 grandchildren, Kelly, Lori, Gregg and Terry; and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to her mother and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Janet Cressman.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 18, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 240 South Eighth Street, Tatamy, PA 18085, where funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Herbert Dolich officiating. Burial will follow in Forks Cemetery, Stockertown.
