Obituary

Frank J. "Frankie" Saita, 77, of Deerfield Beach, Fla., formerly of Scranton and Nazareth, passed away February 8, 2022 in his home after a battle with Parkinson's disease.

His loving husband, Jeffrey Johnson, was by his side as Frank went home peacefully to be with the Lord.  Jeffrey has been by Frankie's side while fighting this disease.

Frankie graduated from Technical High School in 1962 and then joined the United States Navy.  He served in the Navy for 6 years and was part of the Bay of Pigs Operation.  Frankie was known and loved by so many people.  He enjoyed traveling with his husband, Jeffrey.

He was predeceased by his parents; his father Frank Saita in February 1960, who was the owner of Saita Trucking Company, and his mother, Clara J. Saita in April 2008.

Surviving, along with his husband Jeffrey, are his five sisters; Marion Saita and her partner Peter Cerstvik of Atlantic, VA; Gloria Marie Saita of Olyphant, Claire Leibold and her husband Scott of Wyomissing, Linda Coolbaugh and her husband Jerry of Moosic and Diane Buckley and her husband Frank of Jermyn as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 11-12pm in the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth with a Prayer Service to follow.

Donations can be sent, in remembrance of Frank J. Saita, to the American Parkinson Disease Association, P.O. Box 61420, Staten Island, NY, 10306 (1-800-223-2732), at the same time, giving hope to others who are battling Parkinson's disease.
