Franklin Delano Allen, 61, of Nazareth, passed away at home on Monday, August 10, 2015. He was the loving husband of Inge Allen with whom he celebrated 15 years of marriage. Born May 28, 1954 in Somerville, NJ, Frank was a son of Carl and Dorothy (Jones) Allen of Bethlehem. Frank honorably served his country during the Vietnam War with the US Navy. He worked in Maintenance at the Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ for the past 25 years. An avid outdoorsman, Frank loved working outside at his home, going camping and hiking, and was especially passionate about fishing. In addition to his wife and parents, Frank is survived by his children, Frank Allen, Jr., Joseph Allen (Laura) and Theresa Schultz, and his step-children, Gene Johnson, Aubrey Walter (Evan) and Bradley Fleisher (Tina). Also surviving are his brothers, Emery Allen (Toni), Glen Allen and Wayne Allen (Ellen); a sister, June Brown (Charles); a sister-in-law, Gina Allen; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Carl Allen. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service which will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Church, 6528 Hamilton Boulevard, Allentown, PA, 18106. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frank's memory may be offered to the American Cancer Society, Lehigh Valley Unit, 3893 Adler Place, Suite 170, Bethlehem, PA, 18017, or to Faith Church at the above address.
