Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, grandfather and friend, George E. Houck, at the age of 88. He left this world on November 23, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

Born on January 8th,1935, George lived a life rich in love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his family. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Lois, and a loving father to his daughter, Cheryl (Richard), and a doting grandfather to Alex (Kayla) and Jordan.

Throughout his 88 years, George touched the lives of those around him with his kindness, and quiet sense of humor. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his daughter and grandchildren, George is survived by his brother Dale, and wife, Chris, his Houck cousins, nieces and nephews and the Jones family in-laws, nieces and nephews. Together, they formed a close-knit family that shared both joys and sorrows, creating a bond that will endure beyond his physical presence.

In addition to his family, George was a man of many passions and interests. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and found joy in the simple things often inspired by his work experience in farming and his many years at Pfizer. He made everyone in his presence smile throughout his life. Year after year, one of his life's highlights was his singing participation in the Elk's Club variety shows.

George was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Belfast.
