Gerald L. "Jerry" Roberts, 76, of Wind Gap, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 in Manor Care Health Services, Easton. Born: April 25, 1938, in Wind Gap, he was a son of the former Anna R. Krome Colver of Plainfield Township and the late Gerald B. Roberts. He was also the step-son of the late Elwood E. Colver. Personal: Jerry was a graduate of Pen Argyl High School, class of 1956 and served in the US Army Signal Corp from 1956-1959. He was a drill press operator for Ingersoll-Rand in Phillipsburg, NJ for more than 30 years, retiring in 1994. Throughout his life, Jerry was an avid fan of both the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. Memberships: He was a member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church, Wind Gap as well as the Pen Argyl Republican Club. Survivors: Along with his mother Anna, Jerry is survived by his sister-in-law, Lorena Roberts and 2 nephews, David Roberts and Thomas Roberts. Along with his father and step-father he was predeceased by his brother, Sherwood Roberts in 1995. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 10-11am in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West St. Wind Gap. A funeral Service will follow at 11am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Wind Gap Cemetery, Plainfield Township.
