Geraldine E. Strye, 92, of Nazareth, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 14, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus. She was the loving wife of Carl R. Strye Sr. who passed away March of 1998.

Born April 20, 1929 in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy (Dierkes) Stemler.

She was a graduate of East Mauch Chunk High School in 1947, and Jefferson Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. Geraldine married Carl R. Strye Sr. in November of 1953, and was a lifelong member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Nazareth.

Geraldine is survived by her children, Howell and companion Donna, Susan Kron and husband James, and Carl Jr. and fiancée Christine; grandchildren, Katie Helbig and husband Ingo, Lisa Peckham and husband Matt, Laura Kron and husband Philippe Soret, Julie Kron, and Carissa Strye and fiancé Eddie Keichel; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Shugart, Lexi Vie, Louisa Helbig, Frederik Helbig, Corinne Soret, and Mattias Soret; and brother, Quinton H. Stemler and his children, Michael Stemler and wife Theresa, Kathy Cirelli and husband Marty, Quinton Stemler and wife Tiffany, and Jeffery Stemler and wife Michelle.

In accordance with Geraldine's wishes, a private graveside service in Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth will be held with the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Geraldine's name may be sent to St. John's United Church of Christ, 183 S. Broad St., Nazareth, PA 18064.
