Hale Lichtenwalner, 91, of Nazareth, passed away on May 24, 2021 at the home of his daughter in Philipsburg, PA.
He was born in Tatamy, the son of Clarence and Anna (Ott) Lichtenwalner.
Hale was a graduate of Easton High School and Penn State University. He served in Germany with the US Army during the Korean War. On September 28, 1957, he married the love of his life, Charmaine Frey. The Lord blessed them with 59 years of marriage until Charmaine's passing in May 2017.
Hale is survived by sons, Todd Lichtenwalner, and Doug Lichtenwalner and his wife Annette, all of Nazareth; daughters, Tracey Harper and her husband Tim, Kelly Moore and her husband Kenny, all of Philipsburg, PA, and Tara Hicks and her husband Jim of Bath; 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and sisters, June Smith and Dawn Dunn of Bethlehem. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clarence, DeVere and Jay Lichtenwalner; and sisters, Larue Dunn, Janet Melwig and Gwen Lichtenwalner.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 27 at 11 am in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.
