Harry Daniels Jr., 95, formerly of Belfast, passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in Belle Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Quakertown. Harry was the husband of the late Anna Mae Gaydon Daniels who passed away in 2011. Together they shared 68 years of marriage. Born: March 14, 1918 in Orange, NJ, he was the eldest of three children born to the late Harry Sr. and Blanche Elizabeth Olivet Daniels. Personal: During his formative years, Harry's home was Myersville, NJ where his father operated a small truck farm. Later, as a soldier in the US Army, Harry honorably served his country during WWII. He served in the 329th Depot Supply Squadron and the 313th Depot Repair Squadron, in the Pacific Theatre, from 1942-1946. Subsequent to the war, Harry began his career, working in various capacities, for New Jersey Bell Telephone Company until his retirement and pursuit of numerous interests. His hobbies included gardening, woodworking, tinkering, hunting and fishing as well as all kinds of home repairs and maintenance. In the later years of his beloved Anna's life, he was always there to attend to her every need. As a source of comfort, it is believed that Harry's passing will finally reunite him with his sweetheart for Valentine's Day. Through the years, Harry was a good provider for his family and a reliable parent for his four children. He lived a full life and helped many of those around him. May he rest in peace. Survivors: Sons, Ronald W. and his wife Cynthia of Salt Lake City, UT and Alan P. of Branford, CT; daughter Donna J. Quelly and her husband Michael of Quakertown; four grandchildren, Becki Magistad and her husband Patrick, Amanda Holty and her husband Mathew, Alison Quelly Oswald and her husband Joshua and Carolyn Quelly; five great grandchildren, Mara, Riva and Conor Magistad and Patrick and Lucille Holty; one sister, Ruth Daniels Barber of North Glen, CO. Harry was predeceased by his eldest son, Robert Harry Daniels in 2011, and one brother, Paul Daniels. Services: Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 11:00 am in the Wesley United Methodist Church of Belfast, 607 School Rd, Nazareth (Belfast). Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West St., Wind Gap and Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow in Belfast Union Cemetery.
