Obituary

Helen Elizabeth Reichart of Lake Placid, NY, formerly of Wind Gap, PA passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 13 at Elizabethtown Community Hospital, Elizabethtown, NY.

Born September 27, 1933 in East Stroudsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Andick) Luzinski.

Helen was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School. Following graduation, she began employment at Bell Telephone Company in Stroudsburg as a telephone operator and retired from Majestic Athletic Pen Argyl, PA.

She was the wife of John M. Reichart, who passed away in 2002.

Prior to illness, she was a faithful member of St Elizabeth of Hungary Church in Pen Argyl.

Helen loved good food and holiday gatherings with her family and grand-dogs. She loved the comfort of home, watching QVC, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Keeping Up With Appearances. She especially enjoyed watching figure skating. In earlier years she enjoyed roller skating, bike rides, Dorney Park, shopping, church bus trips to Atlantic City and the good fortune of some traveling.

She is survived by three daughters, Pat(Patsy) LaBar of Nazareth, PA, Theresa Macy and her husband Mike of Bethlehem, PA, Linda Flederbach and her husband Bill, with whom she lived in Lake Placid, NY; two granddaughters, Tara Dalton (and Dan), Raylene LaBar (and Alex), one grandson, Raymond LaBar; one great grand-son Luke Dalton; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughter Carol Ann, who passed away October 19, 2015, one brother Felix Luzinski, and three sisters Laura Gower, Regina Luzinski, and Josephine (Josie) Pacovich.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 20, 2023 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Avenue, Pen Argyl. There will be a viewing beginning at 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM at the church. Interment will be at St. Elizabeth's Cemetery in Pen Argyl, followed by a luncheon.

The Schmidt Funeral Home P.C. 202 West St. Wind Gap, PA 18091, is in charge of arrangements.

Helen's family wishes to extend a sincere thank you and much appreciation to all the caring staff at Adirondack Health Hematology/Oncology and Elizabethtown Community Hospital for providing outstanding treatment and comfort care. We are all too grateful for everything.
