Henry N. Achenbach, 87, of Plainfield Township, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at home. He and his wife, Audrey L. (Heyer) Achenbach, were married for 67 years.

Born in Pen Argyl, he was the son of the late Fred and Rosa (Williams) Achenbach. Graduating from Pen Argyl High School in 1953, Henry was a member of the Future Farmers of America, The New Penn Jersey Tractor Association and Plainfield Farmers Association. Starting as a dairy farmer and then moving to crop farming, Henry farmed his entire life. He was a member of Hope UCC in Wind Gap.

Henry is survived by his loving wife, Audrey; children, Wayne Achenbach and his wife Kay, Susan Price and her husband Brian, Beth Ruch and her husband Allen; grandchildren Lisa Scalzo and her husband Frank, Brian Achenbach and his wife Samantha, Melissa Cobb and her husband Michael, Courtney Skinner and her husband Dorian, Brittany Hunt and her husband Ryan; great-grandchildren Giuiliana Scalzo, Mariella Scalzo, Evelyn Cobb; and brother Leroy Achenbach;.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 10 to 11am at the Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West Street, Wind Gap.  Funeral services will begin at 11am with Reverend Ronald Shipman officiating.  Private burial with the family to be held at a later date.
