Howard F. Overholt's Obituary
Howard F. Overholt, 92, of Nazareth, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth. Born April 29, 1925, in Easton, he was the son of the late Howard M. and Mildred (Panovec) Overholt. He was the loving husband of Anthonina B. (Bosich) Overholt, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage.
Howard worked for the former Western Electric as a Mechanical Engineer for many years until retiring in 1982. Prior he had worked for the Lehigh Valley Railroad. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Nazareth and the Golden Agers. Howard volunteered at Northampton County Meals on Wheels and donated blood to the American Red Cross for many years.
In addition to his wife, Howard is survived by his children, Janet M. (Bill Beck) Overholt of Tenants Harbor, ME, Thomas P. (Kathy) Overholt of Chalfont; brother, Lewis E. Overholt of Nazareth; grandchildren, Jennie K. (Christian Haeffner) Overholt of Munich Germany, & Kevin T. (Conti) Overholt of Haddon Heights, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, 23 Forest Dr., Nazareth. Howard will be laid to rest in Holy Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Howard's name to his church, and/or the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Suite 170, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
