Irene M. Arndt, 87, of Nazareth, passed away on April 23, 2015 in St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Raymond Arndt who died on March 1, 2003.Born December 20, 1927 in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Esther (Frey) Bartholomew. Earlier in life Irene worked at Hochburg Manufacturing, but was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Bethlehem. Irene is survived by nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Raymond, she was predeceased by three sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 27, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., and on Tuesday, April 28, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere Street, Nazareth. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jennifer Sauerbrun presiding. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown.
