James S. Messinger, 72, of Bath died September 4, 2017, peacefully in his home.
He was the loving husband of Anita B. (Gruber) Messinger for 45 years last December. Born June 21, 1945 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Claude O. and Caroline (Seacrest) Messinger.
James was a veteran of the Air Force and worked for Varian Semiconductor for 20 years before his retirement in 2004. He was an avid animal lover and model train enthusiast.
James is survived by his wife Anita; sons, Matthew J. and wife Belle of Sinking Spring, PA, and Ryan R. and wife Theresa of High Bridge, NJ; daughter, Monika C. of Bath; five grandchildren; two nephews; and two devoted dogs. He was predeceased by his brother Robert A. Messinger in 2009.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. A memorial service will follow at noon in the funeral home.
