Jean M. Eberts, 91, formerly of Nazareth, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at the Phoebe Ministries home in Allentown, PA. She was the beloved wife of the late William Eberts, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2003.
Born December 1, 1924 in Nazareth, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Pearl Engler Metz.
Jean was first and foremost a loving mother and grandmother to her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean also had a most satisfying career with Nazareth National Bank and assisted her husband Bill for many years in bookkeeping at Nazareth Tool and Supply Co. Jean loved to travel and converse with neighbors and friends, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Jean is survived by two sons, Rick and his wife Cindy of Sellersville, PA., and Jeff and his wife Sandy of Lancaster, PA. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Kerri, Ben, Tim, and Ryan, and six great- grandchildren, Mackenzie, Sam, Ryan, Nolan, Alison, and Emerson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Millicent Diener and Phyllis Roth, both of Nazareth.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family and are under the care and direction of The Schmidt Funeral Home, Nazareth.
Memorials contributions in Jean's memory may be offered to St. Paul's Third Lutheran Church, 2561 Newburg, Rd., Easton, PA. 18045.
