Jean Pritchard, 80, formerly of Wind Gap, passed away earlier this week in Shippensburg, PA. She was the beloved wife of Royal Pritchard, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Born in the Wind Gap area in 1934, Jean was the youngest of nine children of the late Oliver and Martha (Phillips) Duvall. Jean and her husband traveled to Europe, the Caribbean, Hawaii, and through much of the United States. She had a very competitive spirit when it came to playing cards, games and dominoes. She enjoyed her backyard pool, cooking, baking and cleaning. More than anything, Jean loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a 50 year member of the Wind Gap Knitting Club, and was also a member of the Wind Gap Bridge Club. In addition to her husband, Royal, Jean is survived by her beloved children, Linda Blair (Mark) of Verona, WI, and Rick Pritchard (Tammy) of Shippensburg, PA. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Ryan and Taylor Blair, Ashley Koontz (David), and Allison and Alexandra Pritchard; two great-grandchildren, Lily and Bradyn Koontz; a sister, Thelma Horn; and two brothers, Ralph and Robert Duvall. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mildred Lockard, Olive Jennings, Helen Miller, and Catherine Tittle, and a brother, John Duvall. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 14th, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 202 West St., Wind Gap, PA. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. C. Frank Terhune presiding. Burial will be in Wind Gap Cemetery.
