Jennifer Louise (Thompson) Scott, 53 died on December 15, 2019 in her home in Wind Gap, PA surrounded by friends and family.

Jennifer was born on February 25, 1966 in Mountain Lakes, NJ. She was a kind, caring and compassionate person who was constantly helping others. She had a rare artistic ability that allowed her to create delightful and useful items out of unusual materials like her gourd birdhouses.

She worked for many years at Frederick Duckloe & Brothers in Pennsylvania and crafted a variety of beautiful pieces including wood cutting boards, furniture, chess boards and miniatures, which she gave as gifts.

Jennifer also worked as an accomplished chef and gardener in Pennsylvania and she used the ingredients that she grew on her farm to create her delicious meals. Because of her generous personality, the recipients of the meal also went home with mouthwatering leftovers.

Those who were closest to her also cherished the little things that she did. After each visit, Jennifer would send a handmade card or note thanking you for coming to see her.

Her kindness and compassion extended beyond people to animals as well. Jennifer loved animals and had many pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and turkeys and was known to regularly help stray and injured animals.

She is survived by her mother Patricia Palmer; her brother Eric Wolff; her sister Karen Nielsen; her sister Katherine Palmer; and her nieces, nephews, many very close friends, and her cat Feline.

We will fondly remember Jennifer at her memorial service on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West Street Wind Gap, PA 18091.  Visitation for friends and family begins at noon, and the memorial service will begin at 1 pm. Afterwards, a celebration of Jennifer's life, including light snacks and beverages, will be held at the First United Methodist Church next to the funeral home beginning at 2:15 pm.
