Joan Bartholomew, 74, of Allentown, died Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest in Allentown. Born: Joan was born November 29, 1939 in Easton. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Garis and the late Frances Stiles. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ronnie Bartholomew. Personal: She worked in the deli at Food Lane in Wind Gap and retired at its closing. She was a den mother for her boy's Cub Scout troop. She was also involved with the Lions and Lioness clubs. Memberships: She was a former member of St. Luke's UCC in Belfast. Survivors: Joan is survived by her sons, Scott and his wife Judi, Mark and his wife Brenda, Barry and Kimberly, and Randy; eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Services: There will be a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 6 at Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West St., Wind Gap. A graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Belfast Union Cemetery.
