Joanne C. Fletcher, 73, of Nazareth, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022 in her home, following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of James Fletcher Sr. who passed away on July 20, 2017.

Born May 23, 1948 in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Florence (Ficke) Wermann.

Joanne was known for her kindness and gentle nature. She enjoyed a close bond with her family and was always ready to lend a helping hand. In her spare time, she loved to work on crafts.

She is survived by her son; James C. Jr. and his wife Tanya, her daughter; Tina Vequilla, her grandchildren; Nicholas and Natasha Fletcher, her sister; Florence Daly and her brothers; Hank, Charles and David Wermann.

A private burial service will be held at New York Bay Cemetery, Jersey City, New Jersey. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. Memorials in Joanne's name may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital (stjudes.org).
