Joanne E. Snyder, 84, formerly of Belfast, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019. She was the wife of the late Arthur G. Snyder who died in 1989.

Born September 19, 1934 in Nazareth, she was the only child of the late Willard S. and Esther M. Schisler Bowers.

A talented artist, Joanne enjoyed painting with oil and water colors. She would often surprise her grandchildren and great grandchildren on special occasions with cards beautifully etched in pencil. She was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Belfast.

Joanne is survived by two sons, Perry W. and his wife Susan of Nazareth, and Brian J. and his wife Gwen of Bushkill Twp; two daughters, Eunice J. Miller and her husband Roger of Kunkletown, and Cara E. Hess and her husband David of Nazareth; daughter-in-law Pat Snyder of Allentown; eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Garry A. Snyder.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, June 14, 2019 from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Joanne will be laid to rest in Greenmount Cemetery in Bath.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joanne's name may be offered to St. Luke's UCC, 471 Belfast Rd., Nazareth PA 18064.
