Joanne D. VanNatta, 70, of Nazareth, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 19, 2019.

Born August 30, 1949 in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late John and Dorothy Shafer VanNatta.

Joanne graduated from Nazareth High School. Following high school she was employed as a nurse's aide at Gracedale, where she retired as a medical secretary. In retirement she worked as a crossing guard at Belvidere and Main Streets in Nazareth.

Joanne is survived by one nephew; and three nieces, including niece, Skye LaStella and her husband Brett, and niece Shannon Davis and her husband James.

At Joanne's request there will be no funeral services. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.
