John A. Herring, 49, of Wind Gap, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg. John was the husband of Julie R. Herring, with whom he celebrated 28 years of marriage. Born: December 3, 1963 in Fountain Hill, he was a son of Robert Herring of Bangor, and the late Marlene Ann Everett Herring. Personal: John was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was self employed as an independent game developer. Survivors: Along with his beloved wife Julie, John is survived by one son, Chris of Wind Gap; one daughter, Crystal Bogan and her husband Robert of Wind Gap; three grandchildren; one brother, Jeff Herring and his wife Julie of Stroudsburg; three sisters, Sharon Duffield and her husband David of Mt. Bethel, Faith Boiselle and her husband Scott of Bangor, and April Herring and her husband Mark Pongracz of Bangor; and many nieces and nephews. Services: A gathering will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 202 West St., Wind Gap.
