John "Jack"
Jamiolkowski
Aug 29, 1946 — Oct 17, 2023
Nazareth
John "Jack" Jamiolkowski, 77, of Nazareth, a man known for his kindness, and friendly demeanor, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in Easton Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Easton. Born August 29, 1946, in Fountain Hill, Jack was a son of the late Joseph T. and Helen (Andrejeski) Jamiolkowski.
After graduating from high school, Jack honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was a proud veteran. Known as "Jamie" in the workplace, Jack worked as a millwright for Essroc Cement Corporation, where he was employed for over 30 years until retirement.
Known for his outgoing nature, Jack was a man who loved to be around people. His infectious smile earned him the nickname "Smiley," a testament to his positive spirit and warm heart. Jack was a hunter and fisherman, but his true passion was socializing and being part of the community. He was a member of several social clubs, including the Vigilance Hose and East Lawn Social Clubs of Nazareth, the Little Palmer and Young Democratic Clubs of Wilson Borough, and the Concordia Maennerchor in Easton. He was also a life member of the VFW Post 6824 in Rome, PA, and the Brown & Lynch American Legion Post 9, Easton.
Jack is lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his companion and life partner, Beatrice Brown of Nazareth; sister Susan (Robert) Gold of Wind Gap, niece Dr. Maria Jamiolkowski of Ohio; nephew Michael Jamiolkowski (Marylee) of New Jersey; grandnieces, Ella Willmann and Anna Jamiolkowski; sister-in-law, Gretchen Gum Jamiolkowski. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Joseph T. Jamiolkowski.
Jack's passing leaves a void that will be hard to fill, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were touched by his kindness and love.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, October 21, from 9-10 am at the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. A Prayer service will follow in the funeral home at 10 am. Jack was of Catholic faith and his service will be officiated by Deacon Frank Elchert from St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.
