John C. Ott, 60, of Saylorsburg, Ross Twp., passed away December 19, 2016, at the VNA Hospice House of Monroe County, after a lengthy illness.  Born January 16, 1956, he was the son of the late Clark and Loretta Davis Ott.

After graduating from high school, John honorably served his country with the U.S. Army. He worked as a welder for many years at the former Eureka Stone Quarry in Saylorsburg and Hercules Cement Co. in Nazareth, and more recently at the Tobyhanna Army Depot, up until the time of his illness. He enjoyed being outdoors, and especially loved living on the mountain with his companion black lab, Zoie.

John was the loving and proud father of his two children, Dyvek Ott and Alexis Ott, both of Bangor. He will also be sadly missed by his close friends, Danny and Denise Cotturo, and Marie and Mo who were also his caretakers. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Christine Kardelis.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Schmidt Funeral Home in Wind Gap.
