John R. Severs, 76, of Bushkill Township, passed away on Saturday evening, April 8, 2023 at St. Lukes Hospital - Anderson Campus.

Born April 6, 1947 in Johnson City, NY, he was the son of the late Fred and Joyce Severs.

John graduated from Elk Lake High School and attended Mansfield State College and Glassboro State College.  He was employed as a teacher and administrator in both public and private schools in New Jersey and Pennsylvania for over forty years.

John enjoyed reading, hiking in Jacobsburg Park, following sports, and spending time with family and the family dog.

John is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beverly; son John, Jr. and his wife Melissa Severs; grandchildren Gabriel, Natalya, and Noelle; his brother Ron and his wife Cathy Severs; Ron's stepsons Matt and Jim Smith; Matt's daughter, Finley; and nephews Brett and Craig Gudikunst.

John's wishes of no service or viewing will be honored. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St. Nazareth.
