John S Ventin 83 of Nazareth passed away peacefully on May 28, 2019. He was the loving husband of Janet Marsh Ventin, together they shared 60 years of marriage.

Born February 24, 1936 in Nazareth, he was a son of Angelica G Rampulla Ventin of Nazareth and the late Ettore "Andy" Ventin of Montana, Italy.

John attended Nazareth High School, and then worked as a barber in his father Andy's barber shop on Center St. in Nazareth. John was later employed at the Hercules Cement Company, retiring after 27 years.

John was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to do anything that got him outdoors, whether it be from him tending to his flowers, his garden or making sure his yard stayed perfectly manicured. John's hobbies also included painting, wood working, and making stained glass lamps.

John was a lifelong member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth, where he ran the church picnic for many years and enjoyed volunteering at many of their other events.

Along with his wife Janet, John is survived by his mother Angelica, his brother Stephen and by his three sons; John A and his wife Kim, Michael and his wife Gail, and Matthew and his wife Kathy. Grandchildren; Angela Ventin Gazzano and her husband Michael, Adam Ventin and his wife Danielle, Amanda Ventin, Jacquelyn Ventin, and Gabrielle Ventin. As well as great grandchildren; Giuliana, Nicholas, little Gabby, Nicco, Dominic and Isabella.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 2pm in the Bushkill Township Volunteer Fire Co. Social Hall, 155 Firehouse Dr. Nazareth (Bushkill Township). In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in John's name be sent to Holy Family School, 17 North Convent Ave. Nazareth, Pa 18064. Arrangements for cremation were entrusted to the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 407 Belvidere St, Nazareth.
