Jon Erik Serhus of Nazareth, 54, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020. Jon fought a difficult battle with multiple myeloma.

Born in Neptune, NJ at Fitkin Hospital, Jon grew up in Colts Neck with his parents and his two brothers. Along with a love of hockey and sailing, Jon enjoyed playing soccer, reading, nature and science. After attending Rutgers University, he graduated at the top of his class from CHUBB Institute of Technology in Computer Software. Jon worked for IQVIA in New Brunswick, who supported him throughout his illness.

Family was the most important thing to Jon and he is survived by his loving wife Brandy Novak, and their five amazing children, Erik, 17; Kiara, 14; William, 11; Connor, 9; and Sean, 7, all of Nazareth, PA. Jon also leaves behind his parents Lowell and Judith, his brother Robert and his wife Mary Pat of Freehold; his two nieces Erika of Freehold and Brittany of Howell and his nephew Christian of East Orange, NJ. He is predeceased by his youngest brother Dr. Daryl Serhus. Jon will live forever in our hearts!

This week an immediate family only memorial will take place. Later, when the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted we will invite you to join us for a Celebration of Life. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth PA 18064.
