Joseph D. Brazenec Jr., 72, of Tamaqua, passed away Wednesday evening, April 11, 2018 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, with his family by his side, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Linda Rissmiller Brazenec. They would have celebrated 16 years of marriage on April 12.

Joe was born October 23, 1945 in Coaldale to the late Joseph Sr. and Mary A. Klementovich Brazenec. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and later worked for Local # 420 Steamfitters Union as a commercial heating and air conditioning specialist, retiring in 2006

Joe and Linda had fond memories of numerous trips they took in their motorhome including Canada and Alaska as well as spending winters in Leesburg, Florida. They also enjoyed time spent with friends at the Blue Ridge Rod and Gun Club.

Along with his wife Linda, Joe is survived by his daughter Jaime Brazenec of Kingston and his sisters Eleanor Hoffman and husband Al of Allentown and Mary Anne Borinsky of Cape Coral, FL.

Joe was predeceased by his daughter Shannon and his son Joseph, both in infancy.

Friends are invited to a viewing on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 10-11 AM in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St. Nazareth.  The funeral service will begin at 11AM with Fred Walther presiding.  Condolences may be offered at schmidtfuneralhomepc.com.
