Joseph Thomas Ragusa, 67, passed away on January 22, 2013, at his home in Wind Gap, PA. Born: He was born on September 28th, 1945, in Newark, NJ to Thomas and Mary (Grasso) Ragusa. Personal: Joseph served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Silver Star and 3 Purple Hearts. He was an accomplished musician and dedicated his life to education. He was the Director of Administrations at Union County College in NJ until retirement. After retirement, he continued with his desire to teach and became a Professor of Business at the college. Joseph will be remembered as a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, teacher and friend. Survivors: Joseph is survived by his spouse Donna of Wind Gap, PA; his children Thomas (Amy) Ragusa of Hillsborough, NJ; Krista (Luis) Ragusa of Wind Gap, PA; Matthew (Stephanie) Ragusa of Jacksonville, NC; his sister Kathleen (Charles) Longo of The Villages, Fl; and grandchildren Thomas, Jordan, Antonio, Xavier, and Braxton. Services: A memorial service will be held at the Roseto American Legion Post #750. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home P.C., 202 West St., Wind Gap.
