Kenneth Miller
Yeisley
Mar 30, 1925 — Nov 10, 2018
Kenneth Miller Yeisley, age 93, formerly of Bangor, died on November 10, 2018 in The Lutheran Home at Topton. Born in Washington Township, Northampton County on March 30, 1925, he was the son of the late Harvey and Jennie Miller Yeisley. Kenneth was predeceased by his wife Emiline B. Yeisley.
In the course of his life, Ken mastered many skills but his favorite place to be was the woodshop. His knowledge of carpentry made a lasting impression on all who came in contact with him. He was very proud of the roll-top desks he made for each of his grandsons. Ken also spent many years making "senior benches" which he later gave as gifts to family and friends. His creations served as a useful piece of furniture by which he was remembered. Ken also enjoyed attending Pennsylvania Dutch Festivals and being a part of the heritage he so dearly cherished.
Ken was a long time member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plainfield Township where he served as Deacon and on church council.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Carlene Bennyhoff, his son Dr. Geary Yeisley and his wife Katie, 4 grandsons, Brent Bennyhoff and his wife Caitlin, Jason Yeisley and his wife Carter, Sean Yeisley and his wife Katie, and Christopher Yeisley, as well as 4 great grandchildren, Kieran, Beau, Lydia and Myra.
Friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 9:30-11 am in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1422 Church Road, Pen Argyl , PA 18072. Funeral services will follow at 11 am in the church. Ken will be laid to rest in Plainfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial contribution be made to the church. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 202 West St. Wind Gap, PA.Saturday
