LaRue L. (Eberts) Beil, 85, formerly of Nazareth, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at Abington Manor at Morgan Hill. She was born on September 10, 1939 at home in Bushkill Township, the daughter of the late Lena (Kostenbader) Eberts, Clarence Fehr, and William J. Eberts, who adopted and raised her.
LaRue was a 1959 graduate of Nazareth Area High School. She was married for 57 loving years to the late Carl F. Beil, Jr.
After studying nursing at Haff Hospital in Northampton, PA, LaRue continued her health care career in San Francisco, CA. Upon returning to Pennsylvania, she worked at Gracedale Nursing Home and later served at Grace Bible Fellowship Nursing Home, first as an assistant to the head cook and eventually as head cook herself. In her later years, she worked as a sales clerk and barista at Nazareth News Agency before retiring. After retiring, LaRue worked part-time as a crossing guard for the Borough of Nazareth.
A lifelong member of Schoeneck Moravian Church in Nazareth, LaRue was deeply devoted to her faith community. She served faithfully with her husband Carl as members of Diener Corp for ten years. In addition, LaRue assisted with Schoeneck's Prayer Chain, Casserole of Care, care of the pew racks, various church dinners and the Senior Choir, offering her time and talents in service and song.
LaRue is survived by her daughter, Carla Swigart and her husband, Greg; her son, Scott Beil and his wife, Marie; and her son, Corey Beil and his wife, Jill. She is also survived by five cherished grandsons: Joshua Beil, Connor Swigart, Galin Swigart, Collin Beil, and Harrison Beil; and her beloved great-granddaughter, Ava; and her sister Lorena Roberts.
A Memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm., Thursday June 12, with a luncheon to follow at Schoeneck Moravian Church, 316 N. Broad St. Extension, Nazareth. A private burial will be held with the family.
