Laura F. Gower, 95, of Wind Gap, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 in St. Luke's Hospice House. She was the beloved wife of the late Earl E. Gower, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2012.

Born December 24, 1922, in Lady, Poland, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Mary Andick Luzinski. Laura grew up in the East Stroudsburg area and later moved to Wind Gap.

She was employed as a presser for Shirley Blouse in Wind Gap, retiring in December of 1984. She was a member of UNITE, the ladies' garment workers' union.

Laura is survived by one daughter, Mary Johnson and her husband Rod of Wind Gap; sisters, Josephine Pacovich and Helen Reichart, both of Wind Gap; and one great-grandson, Dylan Gower of Roseto. She was predeceased by her beloved grandson, Richard Gower; sister, Regina Luzinski; and brother, Felix Luzinski.

Friends are invited to a graveside service on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 10 am in Plainfield Cemetery with Pastor Darlene K. Blocker presiding. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West St., Wind Gap.
