Linda J. Strouse, 73, of Plainfield Township, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at home with her family by her side.  She was the loving wife of the late Willard R. "Sam" Strouse; together they celebrated 42 years of marriage.

Born April 4, 1949 in Wilson Borough, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Esther (Klump) Hoagland.

Linda graduated from Pen Argyl High School in 1967 and was employed by Ideal Fashions in Pen Argyl, Sandt's Market in Wind Gap and K-Mart in Easton before retiring. She enjoyed NASCAR, trips to the casino, BINGO and especially traveling.  Linda was a generous person and regularly donated to various charities both locally and nationally. She was a wonderful cook and baker and always looked forward to entering her delicious baked goods and crafts in the annual Plainfield Farmer's Fair judging competition.   She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Plainfield Township.

She is survived by 2 sons; James A. Strouse and his wife April of Plainfield Township, and Willard E. Strouse of Bangor, one daughter; Michelle L. Tirrell and her husband Michael A. Jr. of Moore Township, grandchildren; Abby Albanese and her husband Joshua, Adam J. Strouse, Samantha Tirrell, Stacey Tirrell, step grandson; Steven Tirrell, brother; Lester J. Hoagland and his wife Kathleen of Statesville, NC, and her beloved Lab-Huskie mix Dixie.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 202 West St., Wind Gap, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am.  Linda will be laid to rest in Plainfield Cemetery.  Memorials, in Linda's name, may be offered to St. Peter's Lutheran, 1422 Church Road, Pen Argyl PA, 18072.
