Lois J. Fischl, 76, of Bushkill Township, passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening, March 27, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospital- Oaks Campus.  She was the beloved wife of Dennis Fischl who passed away in 1994.

Born December 10, 1946 in Nazareth, she was a daughter of the late Floyd W. and Mildred (Engler) Schmidt.

Lois graduated from Nazareth High School and attended  Churchman's Business School.  She was employed in various clerical positions with Nazareth Box Company, the County of Northampton and the Nazareth Area School District before retiring.  She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Nazareth.

Lois enjoyed working in her flower gardens, decorating her home and, earlier in life, boating with her husband Dennis.

She is survived by her nephews; Morris C. Schmidt, Floyd W. Schmidt and wife Fatima, Ronald A. Schmidt and wife Doreen, Sherwill F. Schmidt and wife Dawn, Brian M. Schmidt and wife Cindy, Bart M. Schmidt and wife Michelle, Brant M. Schmidt and wife Tashia and niece Colleen Lichtenwalner and husband Keith, great nephews and nieces and great great nephews and nieces as well as her companion  Victor Shotko III.  Along with her parents and husband, Lois was predeceased by brothers Morris C., Dale E., Sherwill F. and Bruce M. Sr.; sister Anna Mae Vacarro; and nephews Bruce M. Jr., Bradley and Scotty.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, April 5 from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth where the memorial service will begin at 11 am.  Lois will be laid to rest at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township.
