Louis A. "Lou" Cosenza, 60, of Easton died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 24, 2024, while tubing in the Delaware River. Born December 9, 1963, in Easton, he was a son of the late Joseph B. Sr. and Betty (Powell) Cosenza.

During his lifetime, Louis was lovingly referred to as, "Lou" or "Louie." Previously he attended Easton High School and was a diesel mechanic by trade. Lou was a man of many interests, ranging from playing a game of chess, or watching and feeding birds to listening to The Doors. He also had a creative side which he expressed through writing poetry. An avid fan, one of Louie's favorite past times was following and rooting for the Minnesota Vikings. Although he was known for enjoying several different hobbies, perhaps what Louie was best known for his kind heart, having a great smile, and for the love he carried for his grandchildren.

Although Louie's passing was sudden, his lively spirit and legacy will continue to live on through those he left behind. He is survived by son, Kurt Davis; daughters Nicole Handlovic and Danielle Cosenza; 6 grandchildren; brother, Jospeh Cosenza Jr. and his wife Darlene; and sisters Cathleen "Cat" Consenza and Diana, wife of Dr. Harvey A. J. Hopkins.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, August 2nd from 9:30-11:00am, with a prayer service beginning at 11am, at the Schmidt Funeral Home 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth, PA 18064. Lou will be laid to rest at Holy Family Cemetery, Nazareth. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions, in Lou's memory, made be sent to the family in care of the funeral home.
