Louise Boewe, age 87, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2022, in hospice care. For the past five years she lived at Moravian Hall Square in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. She was born in Sullivan, Moultrie County, Illinois on January 25, 1935.

Louise is predeceased by her parents, Arthur Hugh Brown, and Nellie Louise Whitman. She is also predeceased by her beloved husband, John Boewe, who died in 1996. Louise had no children and no siblings. She is survived by nieces Emily Boewe Oliver and Abigail Burnett.

Louise earned an Associate Degree in Home Economics. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing and golf. Louise loved to travel, and she enjoyed many cruises and international trips. Family members looked forward to her letters and cards from exotic places. Her cremate remains are being buried alongside her husband, John Boewe, at the West Salem Moravian Church Cemetery in West Salem, Illinois. All services are private. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, Nazareth PA.
