Mae K. Lieberman, 90, of Nazareth, passed away November 25, 2013 in St. Luke's VNA Hospice House. She was the wife of the late John H. Lieberman, Jr. who died October 4, 1987. BORN: November 5, 1923, in Bushkill Township, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Freeman Hawk. PERSONAL: She was employed by Fenners Silk Mill in Wind Gap, as well as the Nazareth Area School District prior to her retirement. Mae was a wonderful mom and grammy who loved spending time with her family. In her spare time she enjoyed baking delicious desserts, playing bingo, and spending time with her friends at the Oliver Border House in Nazareth. MEMBERSHIPS: She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moorestown. In addition, she was a member of the Bushkill Twp Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as the first president, and a former member of the Rebekah Lodge No. 202 for 50 years. SURVIVORS: Mae is survived by one son Dale, and his wife Terry of Bushkill Township; two grandchildren, Meghan of Bethlehem, and Eric of San Diego, CA; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Nama Flyte. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Friday, at 11:00 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth, with Pastor John C. Kunkel presiding. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Plainfield Cemetery.
