Obituary

Mare F. Freuler, 68, of Bushkill Township, formerly of Green Brook, NJ, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 in St. Luke's Hospital Anderson Campus with her family at her side.  Born October 18, 1949 in Plainfield, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen Oswald Freuler.

Mare worked as a letter carrier in Westfield, NJ, but her passion was as a veterinarian technician years prior. She had an immense love for animals and her connection with them was undeniable. Her gentle touch and zest for life has healed many and will be missed more than words can express.

Mare is survived by two daughters, Dawn Rasmussen and her fiancé David Osmun, and Wendy Weeast and her husband David; five grandchildren, Erika, Grace, Alexander, Darian, and Paige, as well as Cole and Sarah Osmun, all of Nazareth; and two brothers, Joseph Freuler and his partner Stuart Ayers, and Anthony Freuler and wife Johnna.  She was predeceased by one brother, Mark Freuler. In addition, she leaves behind former spouse, Richard Willenbrock and close friend, Carla Cuccaro.

Friends are invited to call from 1 to 2:30 pm on Friday, May 18, 2018, in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth, where a Service of Remembrance will begin at 2:30 pm in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Common Sense for Animals, 2420 Route 57, PO Box 589, Broadway, NJ 08808.
