Margaret E. Bortz passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025. Born in Stockertown, she was the daughter of the late Carrie and Charles Klump, and the wife of the late Martin Bortz, who died in 2000.

After 30 years of service as Corporate Services, receptionist and phone operator, Margaret retired from SI Handling Systems, in Forks Township. A position she loved. In earlier years, she was employed at D & H, Tatamy and was the cake decorator for Schaible's Bakery before she had her children.

Daughter, Peggie Orwig, husband Raymond of Nazareth, and their children, Jarrett and Kourtney Mitchell, daughters Lucia and Aspen of Arizona; Kristen and Kyle Langston and their daughters, Ava and Kennedy; Jenna and Scott Tice, daughter Charlie and son Maxwell, all of Nazareth; Jay and Rebecca Orwig, daughter Eleanor and son Henry, of Bethlehem.

Daughter, Patti Wolf, husband David of Danville, and their children, Kimberly and Michael Scanish and their twin daughters, Nora and Chloe of Camp Hill; and Brandon Wolf of Danville.

Son, Robbie Bortz, wife Lou Ann and their children, Joshua, and Daniel and Stacy Bortz and their son, Peter of Nazareth.

Her family was her most important assets; always willing to help and give of herself. She enjoyed gardening and as she put it "puttering in my flower beds".

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
