Margaret Pope, 89, of Nazareth, passed away on Monday afternoon, December 12, 2016, at Moravian Hall Square with family by her side.  She was the wife of the late Joseph Pope.

Born on January 31, 1927 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Harry Connell and Anne Rose Zwiesler Connell.

Margaret is survived by two sons, Steven Pope and his wife Maureen, and Joseph Pope, Jr. and his wife Jai, and three daughters, Marianne Grello and her husband Bernard, Christine Pope, and Nancy Jankoski and her husband Frank.  Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Joanne Del Prado.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 14, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 409 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA, 18045.  Family and friends are invited to call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church.  Burial will take place on Thursday, December 15, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1300 Bladensburg Road NE, Washington, D.C.
