Marie A. Metz, 88, of Nazareth, passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 30, 2015. She was the wife of the late Albert N. Metz, Jr. Born February 22, 1927, in Pen Argyl, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Sabina Williamson Eckert.

Marie and her late husband owned and operated the Metz Garage in Easton for 50 years. She also worked at Magnetic Windings in Easton before retiring. She loved midget car racing and attended as many as she was able. She devoted her time to her family and gave them all her great support.

She was a member of Faith Community Assembly of God in Easton.

Marie is survived by her son, Bing Metz, and her Grandson, Blu Metz and his wife Migdalia. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren, Athena, Ariana, Allezondra, Aurora, and Idalys, and one Great-Great Granddaughter, Penelope. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a Grandson, Thomas Bing Metz, and two sisters, Almeida Marsh and Auretta Sargent.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, December 4, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Faith Community Assembly of God, 3000 Freemansburg Ave., Easton, PA. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Pat S. Weber officiating. Burial will be in Wind Gap Cemetery, Plainfield Twp. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, Nazareth.
