Marilyn M. Silvius' Obituary
Marilyn M. Heckman Silvius, 92, formerly of Bath, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Gracedale. Born November 1, 1925 in Upper Nazareth Township, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mabel Seibold Heckman. Marilyn was the loving wife of Willard G. Silvius with whom she shared 62 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2008.
Marilyn was a homemaker and she always looked forward to her family coming to visit her. Her favorite past time activities were playing a variety of games, doing jigsaw puzzles and tending her flower garden.
She was a long standing member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Nazareth.
Marilyn is survived by 4 daughters; Melrose Werkheiser and her husband Paul of Nazareth, Sandra Bray of Wind Gap, Eileen George and her husband Thomas and Carol Correll and her husband Roy all of Bath; 4 sons, Willard H. and his wife Linda of Wind Gap, Wayne and his wife Connie of Bangor, Ronald and his wife Shirley, and Dennis and his wife Karin all of Nazareth; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 1 brother, Robert Heckman; 4 sisters, Kathryn Hawk, Ruth Fry, Beatrice Hinkle and Margaret Moser. She was pre-deceased by 2 brothers, Victor and Harold Heckman; 5 sisters, Helen Butz, Florence Fehnel, Pearl Davidson, Mildred Mast, and Estella Jones; and 1 grandson.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday evening, December 17, from 6-8 pm, at the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth and Monday morning, December 18, from 10-11 am at St. John's United Church of Christ, 183 S. Broad St., Nazareth, PA 18064. Funeral services will start at 11 am in the church with Reverend Jeffery A. Brinks presiding. Marilyn will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth.
