Mary M. Remel, 84, of Plainfield Township, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 in ProMedica, Easton. She was the loving wife of Nelson Remel. Together they shared 53 years of marriage.

Born January 26, 1938 in Wind Gap, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Hannah (Ambrose) Luckey.

Mary was a graduate of Pen Argyl High School and honorably served her country with the Women's Army Auxiliary Corp. She was employed at Valerie Fashions and later worked in the warehouse at Majestic before retiring.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Wind Gap and the Plainfield Riding Club. Mary enjoyed reading, camping and spending time with her family at their cabin on Lake Minisink in Pike County.

Along with her husband Nelson, Mary is survived by 2 sons; Michael Remel of Mt. Gretna and Stephen Remel and his partner Justin of Easton and 1 grandson Shawn Remel. She was predeceased by her brother Kenneth Luckey and her sister Kathryn Brunell.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, January 14 from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 202 West St., Wind Gap where the funeral service will begin at 11 am.
