Mildred M. Newhard, 85, of Tatamy, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at her residence.

Born February 18, 1933 in Hecktown, she was the daughter of the late William and Marian Fabian Knecht.

Mildred was employed as a school bus driver, last working for First Student Bus Company before retiring. She enjoyed cooking, baking and the company of her family and friends.

She is survived by 1 son, Barry Newhard and his wife Roseanna; 1 daughter, Donna Betz and her husband Richard; and 2 grandchildren, Kyle Newhard and Krystle Newhard. Mildred was predeceased by her brother Wilson Knecht.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 407 Broad St., Nazareth. The funeral service will begin at 11 am with the Reverend Ernest Shaffer presiding. Mildred will be laid to rest in Plainfield Cemetery.
