Obituary

Minnie D. (Kessler) Markovitz, 93, of Easton, passed away Wednesday, February 9 under hospice care at Country Meadows, Forks Township.  She was the beloved wife of the late William Markovitz who passed away in 2019. Together they celebrated 69 years of marriage.

Born in Pen Argyl, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Mable (Frable) Kessler.  Minnie had fond memories of growing up on the family farm and enjoyed sharing her stories with family and friends.

She was employed for over 40 years by the Easton Area School District before retiring.

Minnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved spending time with her family and looked forward to visits from her grandchildren.  Her spare time was spent listening to polka music, watching wrestling with her husband, reading, gardening, baking, attending festivals and the simple pleasures of working outside.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Nazareth.

Minnie will be greatly missed by daughter Cynthia Eichner and husband Elwood; grandsons, Adam Fenstermaker and his fiancée Melissa Rogers, and Andrew Fenstermaker all of Easton; great granddaughter Emma as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her grandaughter Sarah and 3 sisters, Virginia, Kathryn and Ester.

A public graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 16, at 11:00am in Holy Family Cemetery, High St., Nazareth.  There will be no public viewing hours.  Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral home, PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.
