Miriam S. "Mim" Edelman, 90, a longtime resident of Tatamy, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, February 28, 2025. Born March 15, 1934, in Bethlehem Township, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Edith (Reeser) Groner. Raised on the family dairy farm, it was there that she met her beloved husband Donald R. "Ducky" with whom she shared 73 years of marriage.

"Mim," was employed by the IU20, as a school bus driver, for over 20 years until retirement. She loved her job. Endearingly known to the students as "Mrs. Edelman," she was a very special person to them. The children knew she held a special place in her heart for all of them. Mim was raised in the Lutheran faith, and she lived her life steadfast to her values of a good Pennsylvania Dutch background. She enjoyed gardening and was a wonderful cook and baker, catering to everyone's wants or needs. Her family meant everything to her. She was dependable and maintained a nurturing home for her children, she also remained as Ducky's best friend and companion. Through their years together, they spent time on quite a few adventures including driving their camper, with their beloved dog "Klaus," on trips to Canada and Pulaski, NY where Mim was designated as the fishing camp cook! She was a woman who loved flowers and had a soft spot in her heart for pets and kids. She was a one-of-a-kind woman loved by many.

Mim was a former member of the Easton Forest Cedarettes, ladies auxiliary of the Tall Cedars, and the Tatamy Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Ducky and her children, Randy Edelman and his wife Donna of Bangor, Sharon Smith and her husband Brian of Sullivan County, and Gary Edelman and his wife Amy of Bushkill Township; grandchildren Dean Williams (Stephanie), Kellen Williams (Melissa), Ashley White (Jeremy), Wayde Edelman (Christiana) and Shelby Meckes (Asher); 12 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Ernest Groner (Irene). She was predeceased by a daughter in infancy, Norma Jean.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing Saturday, March 8, from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth where a funeral service, with Father Matthew Hummel presiding, will follow at 11 am. Interment will be held at Forks Cemetery, Stockertown.
